Lead at Livita for FoodFeat, an Upwork client. An Expo React Native app with share-extension import, backend-parsed recipes, collections, aisle-sorted shopping lists, and a Cook meal basket with macros. Acted as liaison with the partner company on the FastAPI integration. Over a hundred people on the waitlist, pre-launch.

Project breakdown

The challenge

Home cooks save recipes across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and random websites, then lose them in bookmarks, DMs, and screenshots. There is no single place to collect, organize, and act on them with a shopping list or meal plan.

What we built

Led the Expo React Native client and coordinated with the backend partner:

  • JWT auth and recipe submission by URL or text to FastAPI
  • iOS share extension and Android share intent
  • Recipe task polling and collections
  • Cook basket and shopping lists sorted by aisle
  • English and Polish
  • Mixpanel, Sentry, and OneSignal

Results & proof

  • Over a hundred waitlist signups before launch
  • Target launch in July 2026 with Livita Software
  • App Store and Play Store links to follow at launch
