EMWatch (Emotion Application)

Built the iOS companion app, part-time, for Ukraine's EMWatch stress-tracking smartwatch: CoreBluetooth sync of about twenty biometric parameters, a proprietary stress algorithm, and personalized wellness recommendations, distributed on TestFlight before App Store approval.

The challenge

Wearables tend to report raw stats like steps and heart rate without useful stress guidance. The client needed a native iOS bridge from the EMWatch hardware to its stress algorithms and hundreds of contextual recommendations, with a path to corporate wellness dashboards.

What we built

Built the iOS app at Emotion Laboratories, shipped as EmotionApplication and UWell:

CoreBluetooth pairing with EMWatch over a custom FFF0 GATT protocol
Standard battery characteristic and ingestion of wellness and stress metrics
Realm and Firebase backend
VIPER modules with gamified XP and level progression
Stress recommendation cards driven by JSON
